Outsourced Services Buyer

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking an Outsourced Services Buyer for an aerospace manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in outside processing and vendor management looking to further their career in manufacturing supply chain.

•      Place and manage POs for outside processing (anodizing, annealing, hardening, painting, coating) of machined metal parts

•      Coordinate part movement between the machine shop and finishing vendors, tracking lead times and receipt

•      Hold vendors accountable for delivery and quality through calls and site visits; expedite late orders

•      Work with Quality and Production Control on nonconformances, certifications, and schedule changes

Essential Qualifications

•      1–2 years of purchasing or buying experience in manufacturing, with outside or special process knowledge; able to hit the ground running

•      ERP experience; able to read POs, drawings, and process specs; US Person eligibility may be required (ITAR)

•      High school diploma or equivalent; energetic, outgoing, with a strong sense of urgency

Bonus Qualifications

•      Bachelor's in Supply Chain or related field; aerospace or regulated environment (AS9100, Nadcap)

•      APICS/ASCM or CPSM certification
