Owner’s On‑Site HSE Representative — Data/Fulfillment Center Construction

Be the Safety Voice on a High‑Impact Build in Hamlet, NC

You start your day walking the site of a near-complete logistics/fulfillment center, checking permits, confirming that trades are aligned on the day’s high‑risk activities, and ensuring controls are in place. As the owner’s on‑site HSE representative, you’re the trusted liaison keeping a close eye on the GC’s daily operations—literally the “eyes and ears” for safety—so work advances on schedule without compromising standards.

What You’ll Do

• Provide full‑time, on‑site safety coverage (Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week) starting immediately for a 12–24 month project in its final build stages.
• Act as the owner’s safety liaison, monitoring the GC and subcontractors for compliance and proactive risk control.
• Lead daily observations and document findings; file required paperwork each day and submit weekly timesheets.
• Apply strong risk identification and risk ranking to prioritize controls and escalate issues promptly.
• Engage trades with a personable, solution‑oriented approach to drive safe productivity.

What You Bring

• OSHA 30‑hour Construction card (minimum).
• Either a bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety plus 3+ years of construction H&S experience, or 5+ years of construction H&S experience specifically in data center environments (no degree required with this path).
• Tech‑savvy documentation skills to complete daily reports and weekly timesheets accurately.
• Ability to partner closely with the GC, serving as a professional, approachable on‑site presence.

Engagement & Schedule

• Engagement: 1099 contract
• Compensation: $50–$55 per hour
• Per Diem: $100 per day worked (eligible if you reside more than 75 miles from the site)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shift; weekends off
• Work Location: On‑site at a Logistics/Fulfillment Center (Data Center experience valued) in Hamlet, NC
