In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate across multiple business lines, championing HR best practices to elevate employee engagement, guide transformative change, and advance critical Bank and business objectives—all within a trusted advisor, consultative partnership model.

Your Impact: 

As an HRBP, you’ll shape and influence people programs and strategies that drive business line objectives and reinforce our Bank values. You’ll ensure seamless alignment between Bank and System policies, practices, and guidelines, supporting the effective execution of key priorities. Acting as the primary liaison between business leaders and our HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), your energy, passion, and collaborative spirit will fuel the successful delivery of people programs and create measurable impact across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Trusted Business Partnerships Build strong, trusted relationships with colleagues, business leaders, and HR COEs. Serve as a strategic adviser and execution partner on organizational development, workforce planning, and talent strategies. 

• Talent Strategy: Lead succession and workforce planning, support leadership development, assess talent risks, and design strategies to strengthen retention and engagement. 

• Organizational Design & Change Management: Guide organizational structures, lead restructuring processes, and orchestrate cross-functional partnerships to drive effective communication and change management. 

• Data-Driven Insights: Use people analytics and dashboards to proactively surface trends, risks, and opportunities. Translate insights into actionable recommendations that support informed decision-making within business lines. 

• Culture & Engagement: Assess functional health and partner with leaders to foster an engaging environment that reflects our culture and values. 

• Leader Coaching: Provide candid coaching to leaders, supporting development and strengthening leadership acumen. 

• Collaboration: Act as an orchestrator between business and People + Culture, fostering open communication and co-creating solutions. 

What You Bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, OD, or related field (or equivalent experience) 

• Typically requires 7+ years in a strategic HR role, with experience coaching senior leaders 

• Strategic and holistic thinking, paired with tactical execution 

• Deep understanding of business strategy and HR practices 

• Solutions-focused mindset and ability to drive results 

• Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership 

• Excellent judgment, communication, and presentation skills 

• Intermediate Excel skills 

• Knowledge of employment laws and standards 

• Strong project/time management skills 

• Must be able to work on site full time at our San Francisco location. 

• Up to 10 % travel 

 

 Bonus Points: 

• PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP certifications

Base Salary Range: Min: $124,400 - Mid: $161,500 - Max: $198,700 (Location: San Francisco)  Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
