Position: Speech Language Pathologist (P-SLP)

Salary Range: $42-$62 per hour

Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)

Facility: 126-bed healthcare facility

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (P-SLP) to join our team at our 126-bed SNF facility. As a SLP, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Your role will be crucial in helping our patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient needs

- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills

- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication and swallowing abilities

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program

- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist

- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility

- Knowledge of and experience with a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
