Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards, semantic models, and paginated reports supporting Data Strategy and Analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, dimensional modeling, and modern cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Databricks.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and scorecards to support business and data strategy objectives.
Build and maintain Power BI semantic models using enterprise data sources, including Azure Databricks and modern data lake house architectures.
Develop Power BI Paginated Reports for operational, regulatory, and executive reporting requirements.
Create advanced DAX measures, KPIs, and calculations to deliver actionable business insights.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and data engineers to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance standards across reporting assets.
Optimize dashboard and semantic model performance through efficient data modeling, aggregations, and refresh strategies.
Support UAT activities and ensure reporting solutions meet business expectations and data quality standards.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, story estimation, and daily standups.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude to improve productivity, documentation, and delivery quality.

Required Skills:
3+ years of hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
Strong proficiency in DAX, including measures, calculated columns, time intelligence, and advanced analytical functions.
Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and Star Schema design principles.
Experience connecting Power BI to Azure Databricks, Data Lakehouse, or modern cloud data platforms.
Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, deployment pipelines, scheduled refreshes, and security management.
Ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting and visualization solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
Experience developing Power BI Paginated Reports.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and OneLake concepts.
Experience with Power BI REST APIs, XMLA endpoints, and dataset administration.
Experience with Git-based version control and Azure DevOps integration for Power BI projects.
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and reporting best practices.
Exposure to insurance, financial services, or enterprise data analytics environments is a plus.
