Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable Packaging Associates for a fast-paced food production opportunity. This is a physically demanding position responsible for packaging finished products, moving materials, handling trays and carts, and supporting production operations throughout extended shifts.

Candidates must be comfortable working 12–13 hours per day, Monday through Saturday, while performing repetitive bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing.

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is preferred but not required.

Required Experience & Skills

• Reliable transportation required

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Package finished food products
• Prepare products for additional processing or shipment
• Handle and organize trays
• Move carts throughout production areas
• Stage packaging materials
• Move products and supplies as required
• Assist with general production activities
• Maintain consistent productivity throughout extended shifts
• Keep assigned work areas clean and organized
• Follow food-manufacturing sanitation procedures
• Follow all company safety requirements
• Wear required PPE and sanitary equipment
• Assist team members with additional production responsibilities
• Perform additional packaging and production duties as assigned  

Packaging & Production Responsibilities

Candidates may regularly perform:

• Product packaging
• Tray handling
• Cart movement
• Material staging
• Product movement
• Packaging preparation
• General production support
• Work-area cleanup  

Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive work at a consistent pace throughout the shift.

Physical Requirements

This is a very physically demanding position.

Candidates must be able to:

• Regularly lift and move 50+ lbs
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Work 12–13 hour shifts
• Frequently bend and squat
• Reach, lift, carry, push, and pull repeatedly
• Handle trays and carts throughout production
• Perform repetitive movements for extended periods
• Maintain productivity throughout a long workday
• Safely work around food-production equipment
• Wear all required PPE  

Schedule Requirements

Candidates must be available for:

• Monday–Saturday
• 12–13 hour shifts
• Start time of approximately 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM

This is an extended-hour production schedule, so dependable attendance and the physical stamina to work the full schedule are essential.

Food Production & Sanitation Requirements

This position works in a food-manufacturing facility with strict contamination-control and sanitation requirements.

Candidates must comply with the following:

• No jewelry of any kind
• No rings, earrings, necklaces, facial piercings, tongue piercings, or similar jewelry
• No nail polish
• No artificial or fake nails
• No fake eyelashes
• Minimal makeup only
• Hair nets required at all times
• Beard nets required when applicable
• Some departments require arm sleeves
• No clothing containing glitter or loose materials that could contaminate products
• No jeans with holes
• Longer shorts are permitted during summer months  

Footwear & PPE

• Tennis shoes with good traction required
• Safety glasses required
• Hair nets required
• Beard nets required when applicable
• Arm sleeves required in applicable departments
• Additional PPE must be worn as directed  

Lunch & Personal Item Requirements

Due to food-manufacturing safety requirements:

• Lunches must be packed in plastic or foam containers only
• No glass containers are permitted

Candidates must follow all facility rules regarding personal items and potential product contaminants.
