    Description

    Packaging Engineering Manager

    Language Requirement: No Korean language skills required

    Position Summary:

    This role leads the packaging engineering team, overseeing packaging design, development, and optimization. The position ensures compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards while driving innovation and cost-effective solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the packaging engineering team and manage packaging development projects.
    • Collaborate with HQ and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of packaging strategies.
    • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and vendors to align packaging with brand and product goals.
    • Oversee new product development and commercialization processes for packaging.
    • Design sustainable packaging solutions that align with cost-effectiveness and environmental impact goals.
    • Maintain awareness of industry trends, best practices, and competitor packaging strategies.
    • Conduct R&D scale-up testing and ensure packaging integrity in production.
    • Report project progress using MS Project software.
    • Apply knowledge of food microbiology and chemistry to identify and resolve product defects.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in packaging development within the food manufacturing industry.
    • Hands-on experience in packaging design and development from concept to production.
    • Strong understanding of packaging qualification standards, supply chain logistics, and regulatory compliance.
    • Experience collaborating with packaging suppliers.
    • Leadership experience in managing teams and projects.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
