Packaging Technician – Material Handler 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6AM-3:30PM & Friday 6AM-10AM Location: 2700 S Custer Ave, Wichita, KS 67217 Job Description: Responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, organization of inventory and supports distribution processes by loading outbound shipments for timely delivery. Key Responsibilities - Move product both internally as well as load product into outbound vehicles using forklifts (stand up and sit down), pallet jacks, or other equipment
- Operate and maintain material-handling equipment safely, including performing pre-use inspections
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow procedures for handling hazardous materials when applicable, including obtaining necessary certifications.
- Lift various heavy items safely – using team lift when necessary
- Use assorted measuring and weight recording devices
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications - Experience: Proven experience of operating material handling equipment: forklifts (stand up and sit down), pallet jackets or other equipment for transporting products
- Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to work safely in a production environment
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver’s license required
