Responsibilities:
- Prepare bread, rolls, cakes and other pastries according to established recipes.
- Package and handle bread.
- Organize bread racks.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Use materials effectively to minimize waste.
- Safely operate and disinfect all equipment.
- Visually identify quality and freshness.
- Perform other duties assigned by the managers.
Qualifications:
- Bakery experience and knowledge are preferred, but not required.
- Follow instructions to operate equipment safely and correctly.
- Have a Food Handlers Card or willing to obtain one.
- Work in an environment with varying temperature, noise, fire, and equipment.
- Have excellent communication skills and willingness to help.
- Require long period standing/walking and frequently lifting up to 25+ lbs objects.
- Bilingual in English/Mandarin/Cantonese/Spanish is a plus.
- Authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship.
- Work at assigned schedules, including early morning shift, weekend and holidays.
- Bread & Cake Departments: Early morning shifts may begin as early as 2:30 a.m.
- Packaging Department: Shifts may begin as early as 6:00 a.m.
Employment type: Part Time
Salary: Starting at $16.90/hour
