We have an opportunity in our Pawcatuck, Connecticut location for a Packer-Crater to join our Shipping & Receiving team. This position is responsible for the expediting materials in our Shipping & Receiving department.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Plan and construct special and nonstandard skids, crates, and containers.
- Pack according to domestic and/or overseas shipment requirements.
- Check product for protection of machine areas, coverage, etc.
- Weigh, mark and identify shipments.
- Process all paperwork to be included and all items included.
- Performs all rigging and movement of machines to shipping.
- Load to carrier vehicles, block and secure for proper transit.
- Operate woodworking machines to cut components of skids, crates, and containers.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School or Technical School Diploma
- Experience setting up, operating and maintaining wood working equipment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
