Key Responsibilities

• 
  

• Deliver preventive and restorative dental care to infants, children, and adolescents, including patients with special healthcare needs.

  
  
• 
  

• Perform pediatric restorative procedures, including fillings, pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, extractions, and space maintenance.

  
  
• 
  

• Diagnose and treat pediatric oral diseases, developmental conditions, and dental trauma.

  
  
• 
  

• Administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia in accordance with applicable regulations and clinical protocols.

  
  
• 
  

• Educate children and caregivers on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive dental care.

  
  
• 
  

• Collaborate with dental colleagues, medical providers, hygienists, and administrative staff.

  
  
• 
  

• Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold applicable safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

  
  
• 
  

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and community outreach activities as required.

What You Will Bring

• 
  

• DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school and completion of a CODA-accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency.

  
  
• 
  

• An active, unrestricted Illinois dental license, valid DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance licenses, and CPR/BLS certification.

  
  
• 
  

• Board certification or eligibility is preferred but not required.

  
  
• 
  

• Strong communication skills, a compassionate approach to treating children, and a commitment to equitable, culturally sensitive care.
