Paint Leader | 1st Shift | Heavy OT | Direct Hire

The Professional & Direct Hire Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is seeking an experienced Paint Leader to join a well established manufacturing company in Richland County, Ohio!

This is a salaried, DIRECT HIRE opportunity for someone with a strong background in industrial paint operations who enjoys leading teams, solving production challenges, and finding ways to improve processes and efficiency. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.

In this role, you'll oversee multiple paint operations, working closely with production supervisors and partnering with maintenance and quality teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Flexibility to work overtime and adjust your schedule based on production and operational needs is important in this leadership role.

This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity! If selected, you'll be hired directly onto the company's payroll from day one, never going through a temp to hire process!

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee daily paint line operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality, and performance.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to two production supervisors.
• Identify and address production challenges, equipment downtime, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with maintenance teams to coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Ensure employees receive appropriate training and support.
• Monitor materials, supplies, and operational needs to maintain production.
• Support established quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership on operational goals, process improvements, and business planning.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Knowledge and experience with industrial paint operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot production challenges and improve operational efficiency.
• Mechanical and electrical equipment knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards and procedures is a plus.
• Willingness to work overtime and adjust hours as needed to support production demands.
