Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Painter to prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, and protective coatings. This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, experience with spray and surface preparation equipment, and knowledge of safe hazardous materials handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, and smoothing before applying coatings.
• Apply paints, stains, primers, and undercoatings according to Safety Data Sheets and hazardous materials guidelines.
• Operate compressors, spray equipment, sandblasters, striping machines, and small power equipment.
• Match and tint paint products to maintain existing finishes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three-year federally approved technical painting program plus three years of painting experience; six years of painting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience providing comparable skills.
• Extensive experience with compressors, striping machines, sandblasters, spray equipment, and painting tools and application techniques.
• Knowledge of surface preparation and hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal.
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting, and communication skills; ability to follow written procedures, work independently and with a team, and adapt to changing production needs, including on-call flexibility.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
