Description


This role performs painting and surface preparation work on commercial, rehabilitation, light industrial, and select residential projects throughout the St. Louis area. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely and efficiently, and understands how to operate as part of a professional jobsite team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and priming
- Apply paints, stains, epoxies, and specialty coatings using brush, roller, and spray equipment
- Perform interior and exterior painting on commercial spaces, renovations, and custom residential projects
- Assist with specialty services such as:
*Epoxy and floor coatings
*Elastomeric and protective coatings
*Waterproofing and surface sealing
*Textured finishes (knockdown, orange peel, smooth wall)
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe ladder/lift practices
- Communicate effectively with foremen, project managers, and fellow crew members
- Meet quality standards while staying on schedule and within project scope

Additional Skills & Qualifications


- 1–3+ years of painting experience
- Working knowledge of surface preparation and paint application techniques
- Ability to use basic painting tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Experience with commercial, new builds, or rehab projects
- Familiarity with epoxy floors, specialty coatings, and industrial finishes
- Drywall finishing experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the St. Louis area
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods
