Summary

The Skykomish School District is seeking a Para-Educator for the 2026-2027school year . EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Two year associate degree or • Paraeducator General Certificate or • Receive a passing grade on the Education Testing Service paraeducator assessment (ETS ParaPro) • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for K-12 students.

POSITION: PARAEDICATOR

LOCATION: Skykomish School District

REPORTS TO: Superintendent

TYPE OF POSITION: Part-Time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Skykomish School District is seeking a teaching assistant for the remaining 2026-2027 school year .

EDUCATIONAL PREFERENCES

• Two year associate degree
• Paraeducator General Certification
• REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to use effective organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow directions/guidance from teaching staff
• Ability to work effectively with children, families, community members, and staff of diverse backgrounds.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Attend Required Meetings and training.
• Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later)
• I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act

SCHEDULE:

M- Fri. 8:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m.

COMPENSATION:

Per current PSE contract.
