Position Overview
An established mission-driven organization in the healthcare space is seeking a seasoned Paralegal for a temporary assignment. This role will provide critical support across legal operations, contracts, and compliance during a team transition.
This is a hands-on position suited for someone who is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple areas of legal and regulatory support.
Core Responsibilities
Legal & Contract Support
- Prepare, review, and coordinate a variety of contracts and related documents
- Partner with internal teams to support vendor agreements and general legal requests
- Conduct research on applicable laws and regulations, including corporate and healthcare-related topics
- Track contract timelines, renewals, and maintain organized documentation
- Assist in developing internal guidance and communications on legal processes
Governance & Organizational Compliance
- Maintain and organize corporate records, files, and key documentation
- Support meeting coordination for leadership groups, including preparing materials and documenting outcomes
- Assist with internal compliance processes such as disclosure tracking and policy administration
- Help ensure alignment with internal governance standards and applicable regulations
Regulatory & Financial Compliance Support
- Coordinate with internal teams on compliance related to donations, funding, or reporting
- Provide support during audit cycles and regulatory filings
- Assist with documentation tied to nonprofit or tax-related requirements as needed
Privacy & Compliance Initiatives
- Support ongoing privacy and data-related compliance efforts
- Assist with documentation, tracking, and internal coordination tied to regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of paralegal experience in a corporate, legal, or regulated environment
- Strong background in contract coordination and document management
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency with standard business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Preferred Background
- Experience working within nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
- Familiarity with healthcare-related regulations or compliance environments
- Exposure to governance practices or board-related coordination
- Knowledge of regulatory or reporting frameworks related to tax-exempt entities
Assignment Details
- Type: Temporary assignment
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Work Setup: Primarily onsite with potential flexibility for limited remote work
