Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking 3 experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegals for direct-hire opportunities in El Segundo, CA. These positions support attorneys handling complex personal injury litigation, with a focus on commercial trucking accidents and general negligence cases.

The ideal candidate has extensive litigation experience, strong knowledge of federal court procedures, and a proven track record supporting high-value personal injury cases from initial filing through trial and resolution.

This opportunity is well suited for detail-oriented legal professionals who thrive in fast-paced litigation environments, manage multiple complex cases, and work collaboratively with attorneys to achieve successful case outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, including petitions, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation materials.
  
• 
  Manage all phases of the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, organizing evidence, and tracking deadlines.
  
• 
  Support attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle, from initial case filing through trial preparation and resolution.
  
• 
  Assist with complex personal injury cases involving commercial trucking accidents, general negligence, and high-value claims.
  
• 
  Coordinate federal court filings and ensure compliance with applicable court rules, procedures, and deadlines.
  
• 
  Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files, legal documentation, and case management records.
  
• 
  Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates, gather information, and address inquiries.
  
• 
  Coordinate with attorneys, legal staff, experts, and other parties to support case preparation.
  
• 
  Prepare trial materials, organize exhibits, and assist attorneys during trial preparation and proceedings.
  
• 
  Manage competing deadlines and multiple active cases while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  
• 
  Provide additional support during trial preparation and proceedings, including extended availability when necessary.
  

Required Qualifications

• 
  Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on commercial trucking and general negligence cases.
  
• 
  Minimum 3 years of personal injury law experience.
  
• 
  Advanced knowledge of federal court procedures, electronic filing, and litigation case management.
  
• 
  Demonstrated experience supporting high-value personal injury cases involving six- and seven-figure claims.
  
• 
  Comprehensive litigation experience from initial filing through discovery, trial preparation, and case resolution.
  
• 
  Strong legal drafting skills, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and related documentation.
  
• 
  Proven ability to manage multiple complex cases, prioritize deadlines, and maintain organized case files.
  
• 
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
  
• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• 
  Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  
• 
  Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  
• 
  Flexibility to accommodate additional hours during trial preparation and proceedings.
  
• 
  Ability to work onsite in El Segundo, CA, five days per week.
