Description
Assignment: Paralegal part-time
Key Responsibilities and duties:
Negotiation Support: Assist Contract Specialist during negotiations and meetings to prepare for negotiations, including note-taking, coordinating contract drafts (chain of custody management), and managing meeting logistics.
Document Preparation: Draft revisions, reiterations, and other contract and negotiation documents, employing chain of custody management.
Negotiation Support Management: Organize and maintain contract files, correspondences, and negotiation notes; manage deadlines and schedules.
Administrative Support: Handle correspondence, and communication between negotiating team, consultants, proposer, and other parties.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research on statutes, FTA Circular, client policy, and other legal research as needed (including, but not limited to, copyright and intellectual property law) to support negotiation strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Writing Skills: Clear and precise drafting of legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
Organizational Skills: Managing files, documents, and contract negotiation information efficiently.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication to interact with staff (technical and legal) and negotiating parties.
Attention to Detail: Accurate review and preparation of documents, ensuring no errors or omissions.
Time Management: Prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with word processing software, document management systems, and basic office applications.
Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze facts, identify issues, and assist in contract negotiation strategy.
Ethics and Confidentiality: Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards.
Legal Research: Ability to find and analyze legal information, precedents, statutes, agency policies, and regulations relevant to contract negotiations.
