Description
Job Summary
The Paramedic, under the supervision of the EMS Supervisor, Manager and the Director, is responsible for the out-of-hospital care of patients. They are responsible for providing care at the Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support levels.
The Paramedic delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
They demonstrate an interest in a patient centered approach to total care of the patient.
They demonstrate cooperation, flexibility and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, family, friends, physicians and other healthcare providers.
The Paramedic shall be responsible for assisting with planning, supervising and evaluating the pre-hospital care of patients, for coordinating emergency medical care and transportation and following protocols/medical command orders.

Education Requirements
Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
2 year/Associates degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Post High School Diploma Program.
Certification and Licensure
BLS Certification
Current Paramedic or PHRN Certification in Pennsylvania with Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator
ACLS Certification
PALS Certification
National Incident Management System (NIMS) 700, 800, 100 & 200 training obtained within 60 days of hire date
Current Valid Driver''s License
Hazmat Awareness or higher Training obtained within 60 days of hire date
Obtain unrestricted Medical Command authorization to practice within 90 days of hire and maintain unrestricted Medical Command authorization to practice while employed.
