Paramedic

Provides advanced life support (ALS) assessment, treatment, and emergency medical care to critically ill and injured patients across the lifespan in the prehospital environment. Care is provided in accordance with New Jersey Department of Health regulations, approved medical protocols, medical direction, and St. Joseph's Health policies and procedures.

Performs advanced patient assessment, cardiac monitoring and interpretation, medication administration, vascular access, airway and ventilatory management, and other authorized advanced life support interventions. Works collaboratively with EMS, public safety, hospital, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, timely, evidence-based, and patient-centered care and effective transition of care.
