    Salary: $17.00 hourly

    Performs responsible public contact work by monitoring activity within City of Orlando parks and ensuring compliance with park rules and regulations. Provides basic information to visitors and tourists, while maintaining a visible presence to support safety and cleanliness. Patrols park areas on foot, bicycle, or by vehicle to observe conditions, identify potential hazards, and help deter vandalism or misconduct. Work involves documenting findings and preparing daily reports on park attendance, incidents, accidents, injuries, and needed repairs. Work is primarily outdoors and requires frequent walking and patrolling in various weather conditions, including exposure to heat, rain, and insects. Employees work rotating shifts with varied days off to ensure coverage across all parks. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Signature Parks and Events Program Manager and the Parks Operations Supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years' experience in public contact work, preferably involving security required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.

    THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
