Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Parking Enforcement Staff is responsible for enforcing parking regulations and supporting the safe and efficient operation of parking facilities. This role requires extensive outdoor work, including prolonged walking and standing, and close coordination with supervisors and team members to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Parking Enforcement & Patrol (50%)

  • Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by State-issued vehicle to monitor compliance with parking regulations
  • Issue citations for violations in accordance with established policies
  • Respond to dispatch calls related to violations, complaints, or parking concerns

Communication & Reporting (50%)

  • Communicate incidents, violations, and emergencies via phone or two-way radio
  • Accurately document enforcement activities and prepare reports as required
  • Provide assistance and respond to customer inquiries regarding parking regulations

This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and to stand and/or walk for the entire duration of the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. These functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
