Position Information

POSITION: Part-time Academic Instructor (Computer Science)

LOCATION: NDSCS Wahpeton, North Dakota

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time, non-benefited

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Anyone eligible to work in the United States

JOB SUMMARY: Duties include providing instruction to students in CIS 101 Digital Literacy and CSCI Software Apps and Digital Literacy for Fall 2026. The content focuses on Digital Literacy and Microsoft Office.

SCHEDULE:

  • Courses include sections in the 1st 8 weeks, 2nd 8 weeks, and full semester

Required Competencies

  • Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
  • Bachelors degree in field related to Information & Communications Technology
  • Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office and Digital Literacy
  • Ability to articulate and support the two-year postsecondary college philosophy with a commitment to teaching and learning in a two-year college setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, self-directed, and able to work effectively and professionally with students and staff in a team setting
  • Computer and technology literate
  • Valid drivers license
  • Teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful college or postsecondary teaching experience
  • Masters degree in field related to Information & Communications Technology

PAY RATE: Current adjunct rate (calculated per credit taught, currently $1,099/credit)
