Maarif School is seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and innovative AI & Computer Science Teacher to join our academic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, artificial intelligence, and technology education, with the ability to make complex concepts engaging and accessible to students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence courses to middle and high school students.
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Introduce students to programming, coding, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
- Teach fundamental concepts of computer science, including algorithms, computational thinking, and problem-solving.
- Provide hands-on learning experiences through coding projects, AI applications, and technology-based activities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote responsible and ethical use of AI and digital technologies.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
- Collaborate with school administration and faculty to support academic goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching experience in middle or high school preferred.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning concepts, and educational technology.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students with different learning abilities.
- Passion for education, innovation, and student development.
- New Jersey teaching certification preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience teaching coding, robotics, or STEM-related subjects.
- Familiarity with AI platforms and tools such as ChatGPT and other educational AI applications.
- Experience developing project-based and interactive learning activities.
- Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
