About the Role:
Great Harvest Bread Co in Burke, VA is looking for passionate, energetic individuals to join our bakery and café team — both part-time and full-time positions are available immediately! If you love fresh-baked goods, great coffee, and creating warm experiences for customers, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily bakery production including mixing, shaping, and baking fresh breads and pastries
- Prepare and serve café beverages and food items to customers
- Provide friendly, welcoming customer service at the counter and register
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the bakery and café
- Stock and merchandise baked goods, retail items, and café displays
- Support opening and/or closing duties as scheduled
- Work collaboratively with team members during high-volume rushes
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a bakery, café, or food service environment is a plus but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work early morning, weekend, or flexible shifts
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one
- A genuine passion for food, baking, and community
