Part Time Apprentice Butcher/Meat Cutter

About the Position:
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team at our meat processing facility.  This is a great opportunity for someone with previous butchery or meat cutting experience, or someone eager to learn and build their skills in whole animal processing.
 
Responsibilities:

• Breaking down whole pigs and preparing cuts of meat
• Cutting and trimming meat
• Making sausage
• Packaging and labeling products
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
• Following proper food safety and meat handling procedures
• Assisting with overall facility sanitation

Qualifications:

• Previous butchery or meat cutting experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and take direction
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds

This is a physically active position that requires standing for extended periods, along with lifting, bending, and performing repetitive tasks.

The pay range for this position is $18.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience.

The expected schedule for this position is Monday-Wednesday with approximate hours of 7:00AM-4:00PM which includes cleanup.
