Position Summary

As a Part-Time Crew Member, you play an important role in the success of the restaurant by delivering outstanding customer service, preparing quality food, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, and working as part of a supportive team.

Essential Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Greet customers in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with every guest interaction.
• Accurately take customer orders and process transactions.
• Respond to guest questions and concerns promptly and courteously.
• Help create a positive dining experience for every customer.

Food Preparation & Quality

• Prepare food products according to Wendy's recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food freshness, accuracy, and presentation standards are maintained.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Maintain proper food holding times and temperatures.

Teamwork & Operations

• Work collaboratively with team members and management to support restaurant operations.
• Assist in various work areas including front counter, drive-thru, dining room, and kitchen.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Support team members during busy periods and help ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Restaurant Cleanliness

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Clean and stock workstations, dining areas, restrooms, and equipment.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness standards are consistently met.

Qualifications

Required

• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must possess all documents and permits required by federal, state, and local laws.

Preferred

• Previous restaurant, retail, or customer service experience.
• Food safety certification, where applicable.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the restaurant.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate restaurant equipment.
• Ability to work near hot cooking surfaces, fryers, and refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.

Work Environment

Part-Time Crew Members work in a fast-paced restaurant environment that requires frequent interaction with customers and team members. Schedules are designed to provide flexibility and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs and employee availability.

The Wendy’s Story
First of all, yes, Wendy is a real person. And a pretty special one, being the daughter of our founder Dave Thomas.
