Description of Job

This position will work part-time in the Facilities Services Department of Adams State University reporting to the Transportation Department. This work unit supports the agency activities by driving students and staff utilizing State Fleet Vehicles to and from events or activities needed by Adams State University. Provides a safe reliable transportation service for Adams State University. Work involves driving of commercial (CDL) and non-commercial vehicles for ASU events.

Primary Duties:

  • Safely transport participants/equipment/vehicles to official Adams State University functions and events.

  • Providing excellent customer service and professionalism.

  • Ability to attend several overnight, multiple day athletic/program events.

  • Abides by all driver safety, traffic laws, rules and regulations.

  • Performs and provides logs on equipment and vehicle inspections (pre-trip) daily.

  • Performs all inspections required by law and completion of all documents as required.

Experience Only:

Two (2) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position

Special Requirements:

This position requires a Class B commercial license with a passenger endorsement and any requirements including drug screening and DOT physicals.
