General Description:
The internship program will introduce students, before they approach the end of their studies, to the community college environment and student population. The faculty intern will serve under the direct supervision of a mentor who is legally qualified to teach in the assigned discipline and/or render the service the faculty intern will provide. Faculty mentors will provide substantial direct in-class supervision and evaluation of interns teaching capabilities. A faculty internship will be limited to a maximum of two (2) years. After successful completion of the internship, the intern may move into a regular adjunct pool in their respective discipline.

Interview Information:
Those applicants deemed highly qualified for the position will be invited to appear for oral interviews before a screening committee. A limited number of candidates will be invited to interviews. Interviews will be scheduled on site.
Employee Benefits:
Sick leave, faculty employed on a part-time hourly basis shall earn sick leave credit at the rate of one (1) hour for each twenty (20) hours of paid service.
Condition of Employment:
The selected candidate must be fingerprinted and tested for tuberculosis at his/her own expense prior to the start of employment.
