Part-Time Grapple Truck Operator/Yard Manager

PART-TIME GRAPPLE TRUCK OPERATOR/YARD MANAGER – WILLIAMSPORT, PA

LaRue LLC is looking for a dependable, responsible individual to work part-time at our Williamsport yard unloading incoming trucks and railcars.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a truck-mounted grapple loader to unload discarded telephone poles from inbound trucks and railcars
• Safely load, move, and organize telephone poles within the yard
• Assist with unloading incoming trucks and railcars
• Complete and submit signed delivery/unloading paperwork
• Communicate with drivers and company personnel regarding incoming loads
• Maintain a clean and organized yard
• Follow all company safety procedures
• Perform other general yard duties as needed

The position involves operating a grapple truck to unload telephone poles from incoming trucks and railcars. Experience operating grapple trucks or similar equipment is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

Schedule:

• Part-time, primarily Monday–Thursday mornings
• Approximately 8–20 hours per week
• Typical start time is 7:00 AM
• Hours will vary depending on incoming truck and railcar deliveries
• Generally morning hours with no nights or weekends
• Some flexibility in availability is required

Qualifications:

• Dependable and punctual
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to safely perform physical yard work and climb ladders in/out of equipment and operate a chain saw.
• Comfortable working around heavy trucks, equipment, and railcars
• CDL is a plus, but not required
• Experience operating grapple trucks, loaders, forklifts, skid steers, or other heavy equipment is a plus
• Previous trucking, freight, yard, or railroad experience is a plus
