    Description

    Seeking a patient, encouraging, and experienced educator to support a rising sixth-grade student with their homeschool curriculum. The ideal candidate will provide individualized academic instruction while helping the student stay organized, develop greater independence, and build confidence as a learner.

    Schedule and Location

    • Monday through Wednesday
    • 9:00–11:00 a.m.
    • Six hours per week
    • In person in South Franklin, Tennessee

    Responsibilities

    • Provide individualized instruction across the student’s core homeschool subjects
    • Implement and support the family’s selected curriculum
    • Prepare engaging, age-appropriate lessons and learning activities
    • Help the student stay organized and develop effective learning routines
    • Build academic confidence and encourage greater independence
    • Monitor progress and adjust instruction based on the student’s needs
    • Maintain consistent communication with the family and Thrive team

    Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree required.

    1+ year of classroom teaching, private teaching, or substantial tutoring experience.

    Experience supporting upper-elementary or middle-school students.

    Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

    Dependable, professional, and committed to providing engaging individualized instruction.

    Eligible to work in the United States.

    Experience teaching math, language arts, science, and social studies is a plus.
