PAY: $28.00-$32.00 per hour, based on experience

Qualifications:

• Education or training in pastoral care, theology, divinity, ministry, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, pastoral care, or healthcare preferred.
• Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to individuals from diverse faiths and belief.
• Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes and contracted facilities within the assigned service area.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities:

• Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families.
• Asses individual spiritual needs, beliefs, and preferences.
• Develop personalized spiritual care plans based on patient and family needs.
• Offer prayer, scripture, mediation, active listening, and other spiritual support as requested.
• Provide emotional support to patients experiencing gried, anxiety, fear, or end-of-life concerns.
• Offer bereavement support and guidance to family members as appropriate.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, aides, and other members of the hospice care team.
• Communicate changes in patient or family needs to the appropriate care team members.
• Respect each patient’s cultural, spiritual, and religious beliefs, including the choice not to participate in spiritual activities.
