Part-time Instructor, Heavy Equipment Operator JobID: 965 Position Type: Part-time InstructionDate Posted: 8/27/2026Location: Lemley Memorial Campus Additional Information: Show/HidePosition Description:Minimum of three (3) years of recent industry experience in heavy equipment operation, construction, earthmoving, or a related field.Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and equipment maintenance practices required.Teaching, training, mentoring, or workforce development experience preferred.Flexibility to work two evenings per week as scheduled throughout the spring and fall semesters required. Essential Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.Effectively manage the classroom and HEO simulator scenarios to create an optimal learning environment.Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time. Education:High School Diploma or equivalent; NCCER Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) Certified Instructor.Shift: Evenings Salary Schedule:Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees.
