Job Description
We are currently looking for Math instructors for Middle\High school level students. We help students in all subject areas.
Math: Pre Alg, Alg, Geometry, Alg 2\Trig, Pre Calc, Calc. Tutors can teach some or all of these subjects!
We also offer Science subjects including: Earth Science, Bio, Chemistry, and Physics.

Math Instructors can be candidates for two Departments - Exam Prep and Subject Tutoring:
- Exam Prep: 1:1 individualized instruction to 11th-12th grade students preparing for the SAT/ACT exams.
- Subject Tutoring: 1:1 individualized instruction to 7th-12th grade students, providing academic support in one specific math/science subject.
The Huntington Teacher Opportunity:
- Work with students in a 1-to-1 setting.
- There are no lesson plans to write or homework assignments to grade.
- Flexible, part-time hours - afternoon, evening, weekend and summer.
- Competitive hourly rate and paid training.
Compensation: $18-22/hour (commensurate with experience).
Center Hours (school year):
- Monday-Thursday: 2-8:30pm.
- Friday: 2-8pm.
- Saturday-Sunday: 9am-5pm.
Minimum hours/week - 10
Maximum hours/week - 30
*Please note that we do not hire seasonally, as this is a year-round role.
Huntington Teacher Requirements include:
- 4-year degree required in a related field.
- Must be able to easily commute to our location in Yorktown Heights, NY.
- All experience levels are welcome to apply – recent grads, current teachers, and retired professionals.

The Huntington Learning Center in La Grange Park is proud to serve the communities of La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Brookfield, Riverside, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Lyons, Bellwood, Westchester and parts of Chicago. All tutoring is done by certified teachers.

At the 2018 National Convention, Huntington honored outstanding centers with awards for center growth, student enrollment, customer service and other achievements. Garry Fairfield of the La Grange, IL center was awarded the Commitment to Student Success Award and Executive Chairman’s Club Award for superior customer service.
