We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Medical Assistant to support our fast‑paced Medical Assistant department across our four South Bay clinics. In this hourly, part‑time role, you will work closely with providers and clinical staff to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. The ideal candidate is proficient in EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and obtaining vital signs, and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varying patient needs. This position requires schedule flexibility, including availability Monday through Sunday, and the ability to travel between our South Bay locations as needed.
What You'll Do
Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and accurate measurement and documentation of vital signs
Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment
Room patients, obtain medical histories, and update electronic health records in an accurate and timely manner
Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed
Follow established clinical protocols, infection control procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
Support patient flow in a fast‑paced setting to help minimize wait times and maximize provider efficiency
Provide clear, courteous communication to patients regarding procedures, instructions, and follow‑up care
Coordinate patient scheduling, check‑in, and check‑out processes as needed to support front‑office operations
Travel between our four South Bay clinics based on staffing and patient volume needs
Collaborate with nurses, providers, and administrative staff to ensure a positive, team‑oriented work environment
Qualifications
Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (or eligibility, as required by state regulations)
Demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and obtaining vital signs in a clinical setting
Experience working in a fast‑paced medical office, clinic, or similar healthcare environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday, based on clinic needs
Willingness and ability to travel between four South Bay clinic locations as required
Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills, including use of electronic health records
Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all clinic policies and procedures
Professional, team‑oriented attitude with the ability to interact respectfully and empathetically with patients and staff
