    Job Description

    We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Part-Time Shift Lead to support daily operations, lead team members, provide an exceptional guest experience, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This role will assist with customer service, order preparation, point-of-sale transactions, shift coordination, stocking, cleaning, food safety, cash handling, and other operational duties in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

    Part-Time Shift Lead Responsibilities

    • Lead and support team members during assigned shifts to ensure efficient, friendly, and professional service.

    • Open, operate, and close the work location according to company procedures and shift requirements.

    • Assign workstations, coordinate breaks, monitor staffing needs, and adjust team responsibilities during busy periods.

    • Greet guests, take orders, answer questions, and assist with menu or product selections.

    • Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions.

    • Prepare, assemble, package, or serve products according to company recipes, procedures, and quality standards.

    • Monitor order accuracy, product quality, presentation, service speed, and guest satisfaction.

    • Respond to guest questions and concerns, resolve issues when appropriate, and escalate complex matters to the manager on duty.

    • Follow and reinforce food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company operating procedures.

    • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked workstations, service areas, dining areas, and storage spaces.

    • Restock products, supplies, packaging, and other materials as needed during the shift.

    • Receive, rotate, label, and store products and supplies according to company standards.

    • Complete shift checklists, temperature logs, cleaning records, inventory counts, and other required documentation.

    • Handle cash responsibly, follow cash control procedures, verify transactions, and complete register or cash reconciliation tasks as assigned.

    • Communicate product shortages, equipment concerns, maintenance issues, guest feedback, staffing matters, and other operational updates to management.

    • Coach, train, and provide feedback to team members regarding customer service, product preparation, safety, cleanliness, and company procedures.

    • Support compliance with company policies, standards, employment requirements, and applicable regulations.

    • Protect company property and help maintain a secure work environment.

    • Work cooperatively with team members and provide hands-on support at any workstation during busy periods.

    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Part-Time Shift Lead Qualifications

    • Previous experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or a similar environment required or preferred, depending on business needs.

    • Previous leadership, keyholder, supervisory, or shift coordination experience preferred.

    • Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive, professional, and respectful work environment.

    • Ability to train, coach, motivate, and provide clear direction to team members.

    • Ability to learn, follow, and reinforce company procedures, product standards, food safety requirements, and workplace safety practices.

    • Ability to operate a point-of-sale system, handle transactions accurately, and complete required shift documentation after training.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

    • Dependable attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and availability to work assigned shifts.

    • Ability to complete any required background check, employment screening, or certification process.

    Part-Time Shift Lead Skills and Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the work location for extended periods.

    • Ability to lift, carry, stock, and move products or supplies weighing up to [50] pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Ability to safely use equipment, tools, registers, computers, and communication devices required for the position.

    • Attention to detail when leading shifts, preparing products, processing transactions, fulfilling orders, cleaning, stocking, and completing records.

    • Ability to remain calm, courteous, organized, and solution-oriented during busy periods or challenging situations.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, managers, guests, vendors, and other business partners.

    Schedule and Work Environment

    This part-time position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, opening shifts, closing shifts, and varied schedules based on business needs. The Part-Time Shift Lead will work in a guest-facing environment and may be exposed to standing, frequent movement, varying temperatures, noise, cleaning products, and busy periods. This role will work closely with team members, supervisors, managers, guests, vendors, and other business partners.
