Position Summary

As a Part-Time Team Member, you play an important role in creating a positive customer experience while supporting restaurant operations through food preparation, customer service, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Essential Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience through accurate order taking and prompt service.
• Address customer questions and concerns and seek management assistance when necessary.
• Promote a welcoming atmosphere for guests and fellow team members.

Food Preparation & Quality

• Prepare food products according to Wendy's recipes, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Ensure food freshness, presentation, and portion standards are consistently maintained.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain proper product holding times and temperatures.

Teamwork & Operations

• Work collaboratively with team members and management to support restaurant operations.
• Assist in multiple work areas including front counter, drive-thru, dining room, and kitchen.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety practices.
• Support restaurant goals by maintaining productivity and efficiency during peak business periods.

Restaurant Cleanliness

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Clean and stock workstations, dining areas, restrooms, and equipment.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Assist in maintaining overall restaurant appearance and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must possess all documents and permits required by federal, state, and local laws.

Preferred

• Previous restaurant, retail, or customer service experience.
• Food safety certification, where applicable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the restaurant.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate restaurant equipment.
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including near cooking equipment and refrigeration units.

Work Environment

Part-Time Team Members work in a fast-paced restaurant environment that requires frequent interaction with customers and team members. Work schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant business needs and employee availability.

The Wendy’s Story
First of all, yes, Wendy is a real person. And a pretty special one, being the daughter of our founder Dave Thomas. Today, she is one of the most involved and successful franchise owners in the Wendy’s enterprise. We think Dave would be proud. Back in 1969, he looked around at all other hamburger joints and was like, “Nah. People deserve better.” At the time, other quick-service restaurants were using frozen beef and mass-producing food.
