Description

Were hiring a Part-Time Transit Dispatcher to work Saturdays 8:30 am to 5:15 pm with the occasional weekday shift as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers, vendors, and partner agencies
• Monitor two-way radio traffic and respond to operator inquiries regarding traffic, detours, road conditions, and passenger issues
• Perform scheduling and routing functions, coordinating daily routes, assigning drivers and vehicles, and maximizing service efficiency
• Monitor service efficiency in real time and participate in or lead training for dispatching procedures when necessary
• Use multiple software programs, mapping tools, and dispatch platforms to ensure accurate and efficient service

Requirements

Educations and Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required with at least three years of experience in customer service and administrative functions. Public Transportation experience is preferred.

Certificates. Licenses. Registrations: Possession of a valid and appropriate drivers license.
