Department Information
The College of Arts and Sciences Office of Communications and Marketing manages various digital platforms that supply the information needs of the Colleges primary audiences (prospective students and parents, current students, faculty, and staff). The person in this role works with a team responsible for articulating and amplifying the value of a liberal arts and sciences education and its mission of research, teaching, and service. Our primary charge is to support the recruitment of new students to the Colleges degree programs through compelling email, web, print, and social media marketing. To support these processes, we seek a Content and Web Producer with experience in creating and maintaining content for digital platforms.
Job Summary
Creates content for the Colleges web and other digital platforms, including the College website and department websites.
Manages a variety of content creation tasks including writing, editing, and copyediting to maintain a compelling, rich, and relevant information environment for the College and its departments and programs.
Collaborates with the Director of Communications and Marketing to determine project assignments and deadlines.
Obtains, organizes, and manages visual assets, permissions, approvals and other necessary aspects of content development.
Interfaces with the WCMS LiveWhale, and other digital platforms to design, produce, and display content for the Colleges websites, creating high-quality web pages and other digital communications.
Initiates updates to College websites and provides support to departments.
Coordinates additional administrative projects as assigned for the Marketing and Communications Office.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
