Compensation: $300,000–$350,000 annually + Performance-Based Incentives
About the Opportunity
A highly respected and growing law firm in Northern Virginia is seeking an accomplished Partner Employment Attorney to join its expanding Labor & Employment practice. This is a confidential search for an attorney with an established reputation in employment law and a demonstrated ability to grow and maintain client relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business of at least $500,000, along with significant experience advising employers on complex employment matters and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and grow a sophisticated employment law practice.
Represent employers in employment litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Counsel employers on workplace investigations, employee relations, wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenants, and executive employment matters.
Draft and negotiate employment agreements, severance agreements, handbooks, policies, and other employment-related documents.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships while expanding the firm's employment practice.
Mentor and supervise associate attorneys and legal staff.
Collaborate with partners across multiple practice groups to provide comprehensive legal services.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active Virginia Bar license or ability to obtain admission promptly.
Extensive experience practicing employment law.
Minimum portable book of business of $500,000, preferably generated within the Northern Virginia market.
Proven track record of business development and client retention.
Strong litigation, negotiation, and counseling experience.
Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a thriving practice.
