INTRODUCTION

Komatsu South Africa has an amazing opportunity in the Parts Division at our Kolomela branch, for a Parts Section Manager that provides expert technical advice internally and to customers, in support of Komatsu Mining Products. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 - 6 years working experience and 2 years supervisory experience, a relevant Qualification in Business Management or Sales Management ?

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics Management or similair (NQF 6) and a qualification/certification in Business Management/Sales/Marketing (an advantage)

EXPERIENCE:

• 4-6 years' experience in warehouse and inventory control management, parts administration and supervision.
• Experience in sales (cold calling, new business generation, quoting, follow ups and closing) preferrable.
• 2 years of supervisory experience

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer Literate - MS Excel
• SAP confirmations for picking and binning
• SAP Search items - bin history
• Business Development/Sales
• Customer Service skills

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

• Reports problems/issues and suggests changes.
• Reports on statistics & analytics to facilitate continuous improvement of Parts counter and warehouse operations.
• Priorities and plans for the expediting of orders.
• Coordinates parts customer- and replenishment orders.
• Supervises the warehouse & inventory control
• Prepares and compiles budget report on expenditures and revenues
• Monitors execution of contractual terms and conditions set by the own organisation and supplier organisation
• Liaises with internal and external customers regarding parts order fulfillment.
• Provides input into planning the section's budget.
• Checks and controls income / expenses against approved operating budget for section
• Monitors emergency and back-orders.
• Resolves order queries and problems.
• Reports on stock movement, warehouse operations, orders, outstanding and emergency orders, and parts financials.
• Daily ensuring customer satisfaction is met.
• Servicing of walk-in clients
• Retention and upselling to existing clients
• Occasional client meetings
• Horizon Planning, Human Capital Management, Financial Management, Contracts/Supplier Management, Corporate Governance, Liaison- and Change.
• Management, Continuous Leadership Development.
• Supervises the planning, preparation, and checking of inbound & outbound shipments & warehouse functions.
• Monitors the functionality, optimization, and effectiveness of Parts counter and warehouse operation
