Cordelia Fishbar is a one-of-a-kind restaurant that focuses on fresh seafood with a global twist, using charcoal cooking to create bold, exciting flavors. Our kitchen is a fun, creative, and fast-paced place where great bakers and pastry cooks can shine.
We are located in DC's Union Market neighborhood and are easy to get to by car, bus, or Metro — just steps from the NoMa-Gallaudet U Station on the Red Line.
This position requires morning and daytime availability.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A PASTRY COOK
- Hardworking, attentive, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service
- Experience as a pastry cook, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
- Available to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A PASTRY COOK
- Wash, peel, slice, dice, chop, and otherwise prepare raw vegetables and fruits
- Use a commercial food processor to puree both raw and prepared foods
- Operate both convection and conventional ovens and gas ranges
- Lift, handle, weigh, and portion pastry items accurately
- Use a commercial mixer to prepare batters and dough
- Label, date, and store prepped product
- Clean, wipe, and scour prep equipment and machinery, and sweep and mop prep area floors
- Make a daily inventory of product and write a prep list if needed
