A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join its Seattle office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in preparing and prosecuting sophisticated patent portfolios for innovative technology companies across a broad range of industries.
• 2–4 years of patent prosecution experience
• Experience preparing, filing, and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications
• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field required
• Experience advising clients on patent portfolio development, patentability analyses, and intellectual property strategy preferred
• Experience working with emerging technologies, software, electronics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, or related technologies is a plus
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work directly with inventors, engineers, and in-house legal teams
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office required
• Washington bar admission required or ability to become admitted
