Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for a “Pathobiology Specialist/Research Associate III” based in Foster City, CA.

Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate : $57/hr on W2

We are seeking a Senior Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in immunohistochemistry (IHC), histology, and tissue-based assay development to support drug discovery and preclinical research programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate IHC and CISH assays and antibody reagents.
  
• Perform and troubleshoot IHC/histology assays using human and animal tissues.
  
• Develop tissue-based endpoints to support drug discovery, target identification, and validation.
  
• Plan and independently execute experiments, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and provide scientific recommendations.
  
• Identify and implement improvements to IHC/histology workflows, technologies, and throughput.
  
• Collaborate with internal research teams, CROs, and external partners.
  
• Present scientific findings and recommendations to cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
  

Required Qualifications

• BS or MS with relevant experience.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with IHC, histology, tissue handling, and assay/method development.
  
• Experience with antibody optimization/validation and assay troubleshooting.
  
• Demonstrated experience supporting drug discovery, preclinical research, or target validation.
  
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  

Preferred

• Experience with CISH, multiplex IHC, oncology, fibrosis, inflammation, or virology.
  
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or translational research experience.
