Pathologist Assistant / Pathology Technician

Location: New York, NY 10065
Duration: 8 Weeks - Contract [NO BENEFITS]
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Break: 45-minute unpaid lunch

Local Candidates: Preferred. Candidates residing within 75 miles of the work location are considered local.

Pay Details

Travel Candidates:

• Weekly Gross Pay: $3,700–$3,719.06

Local Candidates:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $90

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State licensure as a Pathologist Assistant.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved Pathologist Assistant program, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the New York State Education Department.
• 0–3 years of related pathology experience.
• Fellowship with the American Association of Pathologists’ Assistants preferred.
• American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with pathology-related procedures and laboratory operations within the scope of licensure and training.
• Support specimen handling, examination, and processing in accordance with established laboratory protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow applicable laboratory safety and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant state regulations and professional guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
