Responsibilities:

Patient Access Advocate The Patient Access Advocate provides primary registration of patient accounts for self-pay, government and commercial accounts on date of service for scheduled and unscheduled visits. Presbyterian is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Access Advocate I to be the welcoming face of our healthcare team. In this vital role, youll be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while ensuring every registration is accurate, complete, and compliant. Youll handle everything, from verifying insurance and collecting payments to guiding visitors and updating crucial demographic and billing information.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED

• 6 months' experience in healthcare setting or 1 year customer service background.

• Pass 2-week Patient Access Academy with a passing score of 85% or higher (within 6 mos of start).
