Location: The Woodlands, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to support a leading healthcare organization in The Woodlands, TX. This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare professional who excels in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring an efficient patient experience.

Responsibilities

• 2 years Schedule patient appointments while ensuring medical necessity compliance

   

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and referrals prior to appointments

   

• Obtain authorizations and ensure all required documentation is complete

   

• Register patients and accurately update demographic and insurance information

   

• Collect and post patient payments in accordance with organizational policies

   

• Answer patient inquiries regarding appointments, insurance coverage, and registration requirements

   

• Coordinate with clinical staff, providers, and insurance companies to facilitate timely patient care

   

• Maintain accurate electronic medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance

   

• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers

   

• Perform additional administrative and patient access duties as assigned

   

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

   

• Previous Patient Access, Medical Reception, or Healthcare Registration experience preferred

   

• Experience with insurance verification and referral processing required

   

• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare registration processes preferred

   

• Strong computer and data entry skills

   

• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills

   

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
