COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

ROLE IMPACT

As a Patient Account Representative, you'll help keep healthcare billing operations running smoothly by processing insurance claims, reviewing medical records, and resolving patient account discrepancies. Your work will support accurate reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and positive communication between patients, insurance providers, and healthcare teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process electronic and paper medical claims for nursing, rehabilitation, durable medical equipment (DME), and infusion services.

• Audit medical records and billing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal guidelines.

• Reconcile patient accounts, manage accounts receivable (AR), and assist with outstanding balances and billing discrepancies.

• Communicate with patients, insurance payors, and internal departments to resolve billing questions, claim issues, and collection matters.

• Prepare financial reports, billing volume data, and trend analyses while maintaining accurate account documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• One year of medical billing or related home health experience, or two years of customer service experience.

• Knowledge of federal and state healthcare billing guidelines and insurance claims processing.

• Familiarity with nursing, rehabilitation, durable medical equipment (DME), or infusion billing.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Computer proficiency, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records.
