Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Technician will perform basic direct and indirect patient care duties in support of the treatment and care of patients.Reporting Relationship:Reports to: Nurse ManagerQUALIFICATIONS:-Licensure Required; N.C. Nurse Aide I Registry.- High school graduate or GED required- BLS certification through the American Heart Association- Previous experience as nursing assistant in hospital setting is preferred, not required.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:-Excellent customer service skills- Demonstrates tact, versatility, and dependability- High degree of self-motivation and directional initiative- Positive attitude, demeanor and an effective team member- Ability to work at a rapid pace with numerous interruptions- Performs skills and competencies as defined in orientation checklist and annual departmental competency checklist if applicable- Demonstrates and maintains competencies specific to patient population servedWE VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE:-Responsible for driving the SHCS culture through values and customer service standards- Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers- Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication- Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
