Job Title: Patient Registrar
Location: Flushing, NY 11355
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Onsite
Contract Duration: 13 week with a strong possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, visitors, vendors, and staff while providing excellent customer service
- Register and check in patients accurately within the EHR system
- Verify demographic, insurance, and billing information during registration
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments according to practice guidelines
- Answer incoming phone calls, address patient inquiries, take messages, and route calls appropriately
- Collect copays and other patient payments via cash, check, or credit card procedures
- Verify insurance coverage, referrals, authorizations, and Medicaid eligibility as needed
- Manage appointment task lists and follow up on cancelled or missed appointments
- Provide clerical support including data entry, mail distribution, document preparation, and correspondence
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of prior administrative, patient registration, medical office, or healthcare customer service experience
- EPIC experience required
